Srimangal Upazila Press Club gave a special award to Juliana Hyder Apu, a woman entrepreneur in the agar atar industry in Srimangal, Moulvibazar, for her special contribution in earning foreign exchange.
The award ceremony was held at the Srimangal Upazila Press Club on Sagardighi Road in the city last Monday around 8 p.m. He built a 100% export-oriented Agar Atar industry on his own initiative and earned the equivalent of Rs 13 crore in the country in four months.

Srimangal Upazila Press Club Executive President Shamim Akhtar Hossain presided, and general secretary Bikul Chakraborty was the chief guest at the event. Upazila Parishad Chairman Bhanulal Roy was the special guest. Jahangir Hossain Sardar, prominent industrialist Zia Hyder Mithu, prominent social worker and former director of Osmani Medical College Dr. Haripad Roy, cultural personality Shah Sharif Ali Nasim, general secretary of Srimangal Upazila Mahila Awami League Rina Sarkar, etc. Besides, about 12 women entrepreneurs, journalists working in print and electronic media, and people from different professions were present at the event.
